Curiosity CAMP is a weekly drop-off enrichment program for homeschool families looking to expand their child’s educational experience in nature studies / science, art, music, and electives in a classroom setting under the instruction of certified teachers. Curiosity CAMP also provides community, support, and resources to homeschool families in the community.
Our mission to cultivate curiosity, creativity, and community is rooted in a biblical understanding of life and learning. As Christians, we are inspired to wonder at the beauty, design, and purpose of the world and everything in it. And as God demonstrated the utmost creativity in his acts of creation, we know he imparted to us not only the ability to appreciate his creative work, but also the propensity to exercise our own creativity as a response. We desire to faithfully inspire in our children the wonder- and joy-filled dispositions of curiosity and creativity as both natural and intentional demonstrations of the knowledge and love of God. We also know God created us to live in community, and we take seriously the scriptural emphasis on the importance of community in encouraging one another, sharing our gifts, experiencing refinement and growth, and understanding the heart of God. We believe this homeschool group offers a wide range of unique opportunities to foster those scriptural values of community for both students and parents.
We are excited to bring this program into a neighborhood that is full of interested homeschool families who lack enrichment resources and opportunities for community nearby. This group will be run by homeschool parents who are passionate about education, have years of teaching experience under their belts, and are invested in the flourishing of the wider homeschool community.
