Board of Directors

President
Andy Renshaw
Andy is a devoted husband and dad of two. He and his wife have been homeschooling since their oldest was 6 years old. By day, he works as the Floodplain Administrator for the City of Gainesville, where he’s been part of the Public Works Department for over 23 years. His background includes public speaking, project management, leading committees, working across different levels of government, and providing excellent customer service. Outside of work, Andy and his family are active members at Grace at Fort Clarke, where they serve in a variety of ways. In his free time, Andy enjoys reading, building scale models, and freelance writing—especially on military history and scale modeling, with articles published in several magazines.

Vice President
Mary Ewing
Mary Ewing began homeschooling roundabout 1997 and has home schooled all six of her children throughout their school years. She's also a certified teacher and a homeschool evaluator and tester. Mary is passionate about schooling at home and loves to encourage others on their educational journey. Together with her husband Dean, she is on the Board of Directors of a non-profit organization that they have operated since 2008. Mary's leadership style is servant leadership that seeks cooperation and consensus to reach decisions. As a believer, she encourages humility, repentance when necessary, and forgiveness. She is currently serving as our KBCH Vice President.

Secretary, Jessica Stirrat
(appointed by Leadership Team)
Jessica Stirrat has spent over twenty years as a full-time homemaker and homeschooler to her older children and now to 5-year old adoptive daughters. Before that, Jessica served for 8 years in law enforcement as a deputy sheriff. She's been president of community clubs and cycles in and out of leading children's Wednesday night ministry at church. She believes that all sides of a conflict should be heard so long as the representative can be respectful. It's almost impossible to please everyone, so Jessica's goal is to serve the most people in the best way through negotiation. Her husband, David, is a firefighter/paramedic.

Treasurer, Laura Wally
(appointed by Leadership Team)
Laura Wally and her husband, Jim, have been homeschooling since their firstborn (now 10 years old) started his education. With administrative giftings, Laura has worked and excelled in detail-oriented jobs such as a pharmacy technician and administrative assistant for a financial advisor’s office. Though it has been a while since she began her journey as a homeschool mom, those skills still run strong and she is grateful for the opportunity to serve KBCH and help manage finances with integrity and glory to God. She has always been a truth-speaker, but God has grown her ability to speak that truth in love. Not for the sake of being right, but as in Ephesians 4:3, “making every effort to keep [ourselves] united in the Spirit, binding [ourselves] together with peace.

Liason, Sue Morrison
(appointed by Leadership Team)
Sue Morrison, married to Craig for 25 years, has a blended family of three children. All are married so we are empty nesters. She has 20 plus years of homeschool experience as they homeschooled their oldest and their youngest. They used a variety of curriculums, most recently Classical Conversations. She directed a local CC group for 5 years, 2 of those years in Foundations/Essentials and then followed her daughter to direct Challenge A, B and I. She currently assists families that are in CC by tutoring their children, specializing in Latin and writing. She has a passion for homeschooling and discipling/mentoring women. She was on the startup team for a local women’s ministry and served as Event Coordinator and organized their fundraisers. She then went on to lead many women’s small groups/Bible studies. She enjoys walking with friends and spending time with her kids and their spouses.
