OC Co-op
Serving God Through Our Co-op
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as ransom for many.” Mark 10:45
“..he will put on his apron and have them sit at table, and he will come and serve them.” Luke 12 :37b
Lord, give us a servant’s heart!
Welcome to the Orange County Catholic Co-op! This Co-op is a beautiful example of what the Holy Spirit can accomplish through our talents and imperfections, serving Him with a great love for our families. It was started in 2013, by a group of dedicated parents who longed for community in North OC. It is currently in its 13th consecutive year! Thanks be to God! As parents driven with the goal of Heaven in mind, we are excited to provide the children in our local Catholic homeschool community with a weekly gathering of faith, fellowship, learning, and fun. We meet on Monday afternoons, from September through May, at Ralph B. Clark Park in La Mirada (during the warm months) and at Saint Martin de Porres Church in Yorba Linda (during the winter months). All classes are taught by the parents in the co-op, who give selflessly and generously of their time and talents. Our classes vary year after year, but always offer academic and religious enrichment that fits beautifully with the philosophy and goals of Catholic Homeschooling. All members are expected to teach and /or participate in the classes, with a heart for serving others.
In 2018, our Co-op was consecrated to Saint Joseph and we constantly implore his intercession and protection. Along with Mother Mary, our Refuge, we ask Our Lord to bless the families in the co-op and that together we may be a beacon of faith in our community, through our Savior, Jesus Christ.
