Mrs. Katrina Bollinger

After working in the lab as a medicinal chemist for over seven years, the LORD pushed me into being a stay-at-home mom. Since taking that leap, I started my own virtual bookkeeping business, gave birth to three more kids and started homeschooling. It has been the most thrilling three years of my life. A true passion of mine is the stage! I grew up in muscial theater; participating in over ten productions before I was ten from Little Shop of Horrors to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. My directorial debut was a year ago when SWISH decided to tackle an Intro to Theater class.

Mrs. Jeannie Hinds

Jeannie Hinds is a longtime member of the homeschool community, dating back to her own education and including 20 years homeschooling her six children whose ages range from 25-8. Her lifelong involvement in the arts through music and dance reflect a personal interest in expression, especially as it relates to us emotionally and spiritually. As a wife and mother for 26 years and counting, Mrs. Hinds has continued to study material regarding human behavior, relational connection, and mental health. She is passionate about passing along scientific, Christian-based information that benefits the health of the body, mind, and spirit and that combats the plague of mental health issues facing us culturally and individually. With her husband, Patrick, she has been a presenter at Christian venues in Florida, Arkansas, Michigan, and Ohio encouraging couples in topics of marriage and family connection. In addition, she has served for 30 years in various roles in music ministry, youth ministry, bible study groups, and continues in her seventh year as Troop Coordinator for American Heritage Girls in Lewisburg. She resides on a hobby farm in Cornersville, Tennessee.

Mrs. Melanie Holt

As your child's chemistry teacher, I am committed to creating an environment where students can see the wonder of God’s creation through the lens of science. I believe every child is uniquely made with purpose, and it’s my role to help them reach their full potential through His guidance. My goal is to inspire them to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers, grounded in faith and equipped to serve God through the knowledge they gain. With over 30 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, I bring a real-world perspective to teaching, blending my healthcare background with a passion for science that reflects God’s design. As a mother of three wonderful children and grandmother of two precious little ones, I understand the importance of hands-on learning and individualized attention. Having homeschooled my children, I have seen firsthand the value of nurturing a love for learning. I’m excited to continue sharing the joy of discovery with my students, helping them explore the beauty of chemistry as a reflection of God's wisdom and creativity.

Mrs. Sharon Pennington

I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and my parents homeschooled me from kindergarten through 12th grade. I studied music and pedagogy at Oral Roberts University and taught as a private and class piano teacher with Janell Whitby School of Music for 13 years. I discovered the joy of homeschooling for myself when my son was 3 years old and I taught him to read! Teddy is now graduated after 12 wonderful years of homeschool education. He spent his high school years here at SWISH, along with my daughter, Audrey. I have been active in the community for the 11 years we have lived in Marshall County, as an accompanist for Harmony Homeschool Choir, a board member for American Heritage Girls Troop TN7712, a mentor for tnAchieves, and board and commission member for the City of Cornersville. I am one of the founding members of SWISH, and have taught classes for the co-op since 2020. My past classes have included US History, Health, Apologetics, English, and Chemistry.
