Karla Armstrong
Karla “ran the homeschool gauntlet” for 18 years and lived to tell of it! One son is in ministry, the other provides tech services to nonprofits, and both have given her great joy. What most defines her is a deepening love for Christ and passion to serve Him. Karla holds a bachelor’s degree in Russian, is a multi-instrumentalist and freelance musician, lived overseas for five years and travelled extensively. She has enjoyed careers in federal service and healthcare, but her greatest contribution will always be wife and mother. Her hobbies include knitting, crocheting, writing, and studying. She loves all aspects of art and looks forward to bringing out the artist in each student. Karla lives in Hanover with her husband, Mark; they enjoy trains, drone photography, bargain hunting, and good detective shows.
Sarah Brouillette
Sarah has enjoyed homeschooling her elementary aged kids. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked with various age groups over the years. Sarah and her family attend North York Gospel Chapel, where she and her husband oversee their church Awana program and lead the elementary/middle school youth group. Her heart's desire is to serve the Lord and her family the best she can. In her free time, she enjoys reading, shopping, and being with her husband and three kids. She's looking forward to beginning this new role with the Koinonia family!

Kari Hamilton
Kari Hamilton lives in Wrightsville with her husband and two kids. She has a degree in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and now teaches private and group music lessons, mostly piano. She plays keyboard, bass, and cello on her church worship team but also plays flute and trombone, along with many other instruments, just for fun. She studied French and Spanish in high school and Mandarin Chinese in college, and since homeschooling, she has spent time learning Latin and New Testament Greek. She loves learning music and languages but also enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and nature study. She has been learning to love sports by watching her kids play baseball, soccer, and basketball.

Korie Snyder
My name is Korie Snyder and I’m a homeschooling mama of four kids ages 9-15. My background in a previous life was that of an elementary school teacher and reading specialist. I love teaching kids how to crack the code of reading and learn to enjoy reading a good book! My current hobbies are being a taxi driver for my growing kids and attending their many sporting events. In my “spare” time, I enjoy traveling, reading and spending time at our cabin in Northern PA. Koinonia has been a blessing to our family and I’m thankful for the opportunity to point hearts to Jesus while teaching literacy.
Kasha Vargas
Kasha is a pastor’s wife and a mom to four boys who loves the Lord. She attended Cairn University, where she participated in their dual-degree program. A former teacher, she now homeschools her own crew. She is passionate about women learning the Bible and enjoying good books. When she’s not busy with church or mom duties, you can find her with her nose in a book or writing—preferably at the beach!
Kristine Young
Kris has been homeschooling her boys since her oldest was in Kindergarten as she loves to teach. She went to Messiah College and is a PA-certified teacher. More than teaching, she loves the Lord and wants her boys to learn from a Christian worldview. She attends Faith Bible Fellowship Church of York. She most loves subjects (science, geography, history) where students can be active, make a mess, and learn through exploring. She also enjoys being outside in her garden or playing sports with her kids and husband.
