Student Code of Conduct

Pure Pursuers Christian Homeschool Co-op (PPC) is a discipleship ministry of Winton First Baptist Church. As an extension of the homeschool, PPC provides a safe, Christ-centered community that supports parents in raising children according to biblical principles. These guidelines ensure our co-op functions in a way that honors God and builds up one another.

Discipline Philosophy
All teachers and parents share responsibility for discipline on campus. Discipline should be handled respectfully and calmly between the student, teacher, and parent. PPC believes discipline should lead to maturity, responsibility, and self-control. Parents are expected to support co-op staff and teachers. If you disagree with a policy or correction, speak privately with leadership before addressing it with your child.

Behavioral Expectations

  • Respect for Others - Students are to treat all peers, parents, and teachers with kindness and respect. Use the Golden Rule: treat others how you want to be treated. Teasing, bullying, or excluding others will not be tolerated.
  • Respectful Speech - All speech should be uplifting and appropriate. Gossip, profanity, crude jokes, or disrespectful language have no place in our community and will be addressed immediately.
  • Proper Titles - Students should address adults using respectful titles such as Mr., Miss, or Mrs., followed by the adult’s preferred name. This shows honor and respect for leadership and authority.
  • Obedience and Cooperation - Students are expected to follow directions the first time they are given by any adult on campus. This includes parents, teachers, or volunteers.
  • Teachable Attitude - Students should attend class ready to listen, learn, and participate respectfully. Disruptive behavior that hinders the learning environment will be addressed with parents.
  • Christ-Honoring Friendships - Students should focus on building healthy, godly friendships. Public displays of romantic affection, flirtation, or private romantic conversations are not appropriate at co-op or PPC events.
  • Modest, Appropriate Dress - While we avoid a strict dress code, students and parents should dress modestly and in a way that honors God. Outfits should not be overly tight, short, or distracting to others. We ask that parents help guide their children in this area.
  • Phone Use - Phones should be stored away during the co-op day unless a teacher allows them for a specific purpose. Students should not be on social media, YouTube, or messaging apps during co-op hours.
  • Respect for Property - Students must respect the church campus and equipment. Students are not allowed to roam the facility or be in an area that is not appropriately supervised. They will remain off of church equipment , out of prohibited areas and  play only on the grass or other designated areas. Any damage due to carelessness or misuse will be the responsibility of the student and their family.
  • Cleanliness and Responsibility - Students should pick up after themselves and be willing to help clean before and after class. Assigned jobs are a way to serve the community and should be done with a cheerful heart.
  • Supervision - Students must remain under adult supervision at all times. Wandering off, hiding, or accessing unauthorized areas (storage, church equipment, etc.) is not allowed. During breaks and lunch, parents are responsible for supervising their children.
  • Parent Involvement - A parent must remain on campus and be actively helping during Enrichment Classes.  During some portions of the morning (like PE), a parent rotation allows moms to attend the women’s Bible Study.  Parents are expected to follow up on any behavior concerns and partner with teachers to resolve issues.

    Agreement
By attending PPC, families agree to support and uphold this Code of Conduct.
We desire for all students to grow in wisdom and character through their time at PPC.
I have read through these expectations and reviewed them with my children. We agree to honor and abide by them.
