Parent Participation Guidelines and Code of Conduct

  1. Participation with your children is mandatory. Pure Pursuers is a parent led, Christian homeschool co-op group. While the parents have plenty of time to visit during breaks, lunch, and Bible Study etc. (and enjoy it thoroughly); we ask that during times of instruction that you are engaged with your children in the activity at hand.
  2. While we do not require moms to participate in Bible Study, we do encourage it. The time helps to create a great foundation to build relationships between the parents as we grow in Christ together.
  3. During the P.E. portion of our meetings, it is still a parent-led group just as it is during the enrichment class portion. Parents should be engaged and attentive to their children during P.E. or in the Bible Study Class. They should be there to support the instructor just as they would during the enrichment portion.
  4. If you are participating in Bible Study during the P.E. portion or the Preschool class time, a mandatory rotation will be set up amongst the moms. Each mom will take a turn sitting out a week to help with the children’s classes.
  5. Many of the enrichment classes each year are taught by the parents themselves. We ask that you sign up to lead 1 class and assist in at least 3 classes per year. Many times parents team up to teach a class so that it doesn't fall on one person.
  6. In order, to keep the costs of our meetings down and to be able to increase the things that we offer, we have decided to have a few fundraisers a year. We are trying to plan fundraisers that will allow the children to be directly involved with it. A few examples might be themed dinners, game shows, ladies teas or golf tournaments. We ask that you commit to participating in these events.
  7. Exemplify Christ-like behavior in all environments not just when children are present.
  8. Any gossip or slander that is linked to a student/parent/person in leadership is prohibited. Any such instance of this offense is cause for removal from the Pure Pursuers Co-op. We want to make sure that we provide the safest of environments to all parties aforementioned.

  9. While participation in co-op is voluntary, if you have not participated in any of the activities for more than 2 months without communicating with the Pure Pursuers Co-op Director, it will be assumed that your family has decided to not continue participating with the group. At this time you will be removed from all forms of co-op communication. Every effort will be made to contact you before an action like this is taken. All fees owed are nonrefundable and must be paid in full. If you would like to be reinstated, a meeting with co-op leadership will be required.
  10. If your family has an issue with decisions made by the Co-op Leadership or with another Co-op Family, we ask that you agree to take the following steps to reconcile your differences in a Christ-like way. (Matthew 18 Principle)
    1. Approach the party that you have an issue with first.
    2. Take the Co-op Director with you to approach those you have a disagreement with. If you have a disagreement with the Co-op Leadership, WFBC Leadership will be able to help reconcile the differences.
    3. If differences cannot be worked out (which we hope never happens if everyone is acting in a Christ-like way), you must agree that you will go through mediation and arbitration before pursuing any other avenues. Differences about a student or family's eligibility to participate in the Co-op is solely based on the discretion of Pure Pursuer Co-op and WFSB Church Leadership as this is a privately run, non-profit, religious organization that has the right to set standards for our program.
