Ellie Johanek To All Instructors

Hey there! I’m Ellie Johanek, SCOPE’s Treasurer and Elementary Literature Teacher. I’m a local homeschool mom and homeschool consultant who loves helping families thrive in their homeschool journeys. I’m excited to jump into this new school year with you all and see what fun adventures we get to share together!

I have been involved in the homeschool scene since 2000 and was lucky enough to attend SCOPE back when it was still called HATCH and located in Hudson.  I have been teaching and leading classes going all the way back to my high school days.  I have been falling in love with literature even longer.  I believe that the foundation to a solid education is reading.  Whether that’s technical manuals for building an RC car, graphic novels that take you into dragon lairs or imagining fantastical worlds with Anne of Green Gables.  To fall in love with books is a wonderful thing.
