Statement of Faith

God: We believe in the one true and living God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler over all things seen and unseen throughout all eternity. (1 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6; John 4:24; Psalm 90:2; Jeremiah 10:10; Revelation 4:11; 1 Timothy 1:17; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:1-11)

Jesus: We believe in the full humanity and full deity of Jesus Christ, God’s son. We believe in his virgin birth, his sinless life, his atoning death on the cross, his resurrection from the grave, his accession into heaven, and his future coming to judge the living and the dead. (John 10:30, 17:5; Philippians 2:5-11; Ephesians 2:14-18; 1 Corinthians 15:20; Isaiah 53:12; Hebrews 7:25; Hebrews 9:12-15; 1 John 2:2)

Holy Spirit: As believers, we believe in the indwelling ministry of the Holy Spirit to enable us to live godly lives of repentance, gratitude, and obedience for God’s glory alone. (John 15:26; 1 Corinthians 2:10-16; John 16:7-11; 2 Corinthians 3:18)

Scripture: We believe the Bible, containing 66 books from Genesis to Revelation, is the only inerrant and infallible Word of God. All Scripture points to Christ. It is our final authority in faith and practice. (2 Tim 3:16,17; Psalm 119:105, 130, 160; John 17:17; Proverbs 30:5-6; Revelation 22:19; Romans 15:4; Psalm 19:7-11; John 5:39)

Salvation: We believe that salvation is found in Christ alone by faith through grace for the glory of God alone. Forgiveness for our sins, a right relationship with God, the dwelling of the Holy Spirit in us, and eternity with Him are a result of salvation found only in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8; Romans 1:17, 3:24, 5:1; John 3:16; Galatians 1:4; 1 Peter 2:24, 3:18; Titus 3:5-7)

Humanity: We believe each human is created by God in His image and likeness. He has made us distinctly male or female from birth. Because of Adam’s sin, all humanity has fallen and is in rebellion against God. We can do nothing to save ourselves. (Genesis 1:27, 3:1-24; Romans 3:23, 5:12, 5:19; Ephesians 2:1-3; Romans 3:10-19 )

The Church: We believe Christ is the Head of the Church, and we are unified as one body to love one another, spread the gospel, and make disciples of all nations. (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 5:23-24; Matthew 28:18-20; John 13:34-35)

Marriage: We believe in God’s design for marriage to be between one man and one woman to reflect the relationship between Christ and his Church. Sexual intimacy is designed for marriage alone, and any sexual behavior outside of marriage is sin. (Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:25-32; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-28; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 7:2)
