Living Waters Co-Op Statement of Faith

As a Christ-centered homeschool community, Living Waters Co-Op is committed to clearly communicating the Biblical foundation that guides who we are and how we operate. We believe our families deserve transparency rooted in the truth of God’s living Word, the Bible.

This Statement of Faith is non-denominational and reflects the core beliefs that unite us as Christian believers. While there are many meaningful teachings in Scripture where believers may differ, this statement focuses on the essential truths necessary for Christian unity, fellowship, and discipleship.

At Living Waters Co-Op, our desire is to invest in hearts, enrich minds, and learn together in a way that reflects Christ. We strive to cultivate a community that is loving, Biblically grounded, collaborative, and honoring to God in all we do.

We Believe:

The Bible
The Holy Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It is the final authority for faith and life and fully reveals God’s plan for salvation and truth.
(2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:19–21; Revelation 22:18–19)

God
There is one true God, Creator of all things, who is holy, just, perfect, and eternal. He exists in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in power and glory.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 8:6)

Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life and came to reveal God and redeem mankind.
(Luke 1:34–35; John 1:1–5, 14; Hebrews 4:15)

Humanity and Sin
All people were created in God’s image but fell into sin through disobedience. As a result, all are born with a sinful nature and are separated from God, in need of redemption.
(Romans 3:23; Jeremiah 17:9)

Salvation
Jesus Christ paid the penalty for sin through His death on the cross and His bodily resurrection. Salvation is a free gift of God, received by grace through faith, not by works, and is given to all who repent and believe in Him.
(John 3:16–17; Ephesians 2:8–9; 1 Corinthians 15:1–4)

New Life in Christ
Those who trust in Jesus Christ are forgiven, made new, and adopted as children of God, with the promise of eternal life.
(John 1:12; 2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 John 5:13)

Biblical Living and Community Standards

Living Waters Co-Op is committed to upholding Biblical truth in both belief and practice. We affirm that:

  • God created humanity intentionally as male and female.
  • Marriage is established by God as a covenant between one man and one woman.
  • Our identity and sexuality are designed by God and are to be honored according to His Word.

In a culture that often promotes confusion, our goal is to lovingly teach and model Biblical truth to our children. We are committed to creating an environment that reflects Christ—one that is both gracious and grounded in truth.

As a co-op community, we also seek to ensure that Living Waters remains a place where families are encouraged in their faith and where teachings, behaviors, and influences align with a Biblical worldview.

Our Heart

Above all, we desire to reflect Christ in how we learn, serve, and grow together. Everything we do, from co-op days to field trips to fellowship, is rooted in our mission to build up families in faith, community, and truth.
