Ms. Sarah Stacy To All Instructors
Hi,
I'm Sarah, a homeschool mom of 3 boys, 3rd - 5th grade co-op teacher, and Founder & Director of The Homeschool Village Co-op. I have taught 3rd - 5th grade for the last 3 years at another co-op and that's my favorite class and age group. They are just so fun to teach! They are still excited by hands on learning, can do a lot of things independently, and are mostly up for any lesson or fun idea I come up with.
Prior to becoming a homeschool mom and co-op director, I worked in healthcare. So, I really took a left turn and never looked back. When I'm not planning a field trip or a fun event for co-op, I love to travel with my family, kayak, cruise, visit the beach, swim, hike nature trails, read, sew, crochet, garden, and tending to my chickens and goats. In fact theres not much I dont like to do or experience. Always up for an adventure or to experience something new.
My favorite things to teach at co-op is hands on science and social studies! I LOVE culture and learning about how other people around the world live, celebrate, speak, eat and observe their religions. Any lesson that involves learning about another culture or way of life is my jam. I also love to briefly introduce a topic or lesson and let the kids guide the conversation and learning from time to time. The questions and ideas they come up with are great!
