Susan Sample is a devoted wife, mother, and lifelong learner with a deep passion for family, education, and history. A second-generation homeschooler, Susan was homeschooled herself and now joyfully carries on that legacy by homeschooling her two children.

With a professional background as a registered nurse, Susan brings a thoughtful, nurturing, and disciplined approach to both her home and her teaching. Her experience in healthcare has shaped her appreciation for the balance between science and the human spirit—something she naturally weaves into her children’s education.

Susan’s love for history inspires much of her homeschool curriculum. She believes that understanding the past equips her children to think critically about the present and compassionately about the future. Whether it’s exploring early American life, visiting historical landmarks, or reading living history books together, Susan strives to make history come alive in meaningful, hands-on ways.
