Welcome to Camp Jr. Mountaineer, a summer STEM day camp for kids held at Schreiner University. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. These areas are, and will remain, in high demand by employers. Our goal is to foster an early love of these subjects in children. If you're worried your kids will riot if they have to attend "more school" over the summer break, don't worry! We have cleverly designed each class to keep kids so busy having fun ,they won't even realize they're learning.
MEDIEVAL GAMES
This camp is all about designing and building. Campers will each make (and take home) their own bow and foam tipped arrows, leather pouch, knights armor or floral crowns, wooden shield painted with their own design, and much more.. We'll also build a huge catapult and a drawbridge together as a group. In addition, each camper will construct a large castle using cardboard bricks and we will test its strength by launching rubber balls from the catapult. This camp is a blast!
