Tour of Historic Fort Hill Cemetery
This Sunday Lee University's Department of History, Political Science, and Humanities will present our annual Walking Tour of Historic Fort Hill Cemetery.
Tours will be led by history majors and student volunteers who will introduce the community to several fascinating Clevelanders and Bradley Countians from the 19th century buried in the historic section of Fort Hill. Senior history majors and local performers dressed in period costume will bring these early residents to life.
The tours will begin in the late afternoon at 4 p.m. and depart every 10-15 minutes. Each tour lasts about 75 minutes. The last tour will begin shortly after 6 p.m. The cost is $5 per person ($2 for students). Proceeds beyond the costs of producing the event are donated to the Bill Snell Scholarship Fund at Lee University.
Parking is available at the Boys and Girls Club and a van will shuttle guests to and from the tour site.
