Classes
We meet on Mondays in Anderson, IN for two 12 week semesters per year.
We offer a variety of parent-led classes to children from Preschool to 12th grade. Children are divided into the following age groups: Preschool, 5-8 year olds, 8-12 year olds, and 12 and older. Nursery facilities are also available as needed. We are NOT a drop-off co-op; parent participation is vital to keeping our co-op the great place it has been for our children to grow socially and academically.
Each semester we are able to offer a variety of classes at each hour to best meet the needs of families in our co-op. In the past we have been able to offer core classes such as writing, literature, math helps, science labs, letter recognition and beginning reading. We have also enjoyed history and geography classes, financial education, debate, speech, language studies, and government and economics. Other electives you might find are physical fitness, arts, drama, music, band, and language studies. Each semester brings new and exciting opportunities. We hope you can join us!
Membership
As of January, 2025, our waitlist is currently full. Once we work through applications for the upcoming school year later this spring and summer, we will reevaluate our waitlist and determine when we will be opening applications again, most likely in January, 2026.
We encourage you to read WRC’s Bylaws, Guidelines, and Statement of Faith on this site to determine whether WRC would be a good fit for your family. We would like to point out that WRC relies heavily on parental involvement and that WRC is not a drop off organization. The parents are the teachers and the leadership, and must perform jobs to help maintain the building and other administrative activities. According to WRC’s Guidelines, a parent must perform a total of three jobs as mentioned previously to fulfill their membership responsibilities for WRC.
If you are interested in being placed on WRC’s waiting list, please complete an application. Families will be placed on the waiting list in the order that applications are received. The purpose of the application is to make sure that we have the correct contact information and to help you decide if WRC is a good fit for your family. WRC is a private organization and withholds the right to decline offering a membership to a family for any reason.
WRC will be contacting families off of the waiting list for membership in May and June.
