Welcome to the Minnetonka Home Educators Association (MHEA) Home Page
While our name reflects a Minnetonka location, many of our families live in neighboring communities as well. Welcome!
MHEA was founded over 25 years ago by a group of parents devoted to providing support for fellow home educators.
As defined in our Mission Statement, the Minnetonka Home Educators' Association (MHEA) is a group of Christian families joined together to encourage and build one another up as we homeschool our children. We confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and seek to honor Him daily. Our beliefs can be found in our faith statement on the toolbar to the left.
Moms meet together regularly to enjoy fellowship, learn from others and pray for our families. We also provide opportunities for our children to participate in educational, social, and enrichment activities with their fellow home schooled friends. We offer a weekly gym class that meets on Friday mornings for ages 5-15.
MHEA is primarily a moms support group. Our monthly meetings are held the second Monday evening of the month, September through May.
In addition to monthly meetings, there are opportunities for members to join in on activities and planned field trips with other families throughout the year. Activities depend on the interests and initiative of our members and vary from year to year. While attendance at monthly meetings is encouraged, participation in other activities is optional.
Membership guidelines and responsibilities are outlined on the "About MHEA" page and our membership dues are $25 per year. If you are interested in joining us please click on the "join" tab above and fill out the form to request membership. If you have any further questions, please contact Christine West, [email protected]
Please know that we do limit our group size to 35 families. If our membership is at capacity, you will be notified and placed on a waiting list.
We look forward to meeting you!
