Hello everyone,
We have some wonderful programs coming up at the MAC for our Home School Nature Series! As my computer is being difficult this morning, I cannot attach the usual flyer, BUT I can copy and paste the information into this e-mail! You will notice that we only have one session per month, as this is our busy season with school groups!

Home School Nature Series– Meet a scientist, Melissa Althouse
Home school students are invited to the MAC to meet our second scientist in the series! Melissa Althouse is a M.S. candidate at SUNY ESF, and is going to share her ongoing research work with our home schoolers. Learn how she spends her summers on the beaches of Cape Cod, and is working to study and conserve shore bird populations! Fee: $8/ student
May 15th Friday 10:00 a.m.– 12:00 p.m.
Home School Nature Series– Nest Building
Spring is underway, and our birds are returning! Learn how different birds build their nests, learn to identify nests bases on the materials they’re made of, and try building your own nest and see if it is as strong as a bird’s! Fee: $8/ student
Jun 19, Friday 10:00 a.m.– 12:00 p.m.
Home School Nature Series– Aquatic Critters
What lives under the water? Come to the MAC to find out! We’ll be sampling the wetlands surrounding the center to look for water loving critters. Can these amphibians, reptiles and insects tell us anything about the health of our water? You’ll find out! Fee: $8/ student
As usual you can opt to “pay as you go” for the price of $8/ student each class, OR you can pay for all 3 classes at the beginning of the series for a discount. Discounted rates for bulk payments are $22 for the 1st child, and $20 for the second child and $20 for the 3rd child, and so on.
