Promise Homeschool Group is a Christian Homeschooling Co-op serving NE Ohio's Portage, Geauga, Cuyahoga and Summit Counties. We offer classes Kindergarten through High School, with PreK classes for siblings. Promise is a parent-led, enrichment co-op. We currently meet on Tuesdays in Garrettsville Ohio. Q: Where does Promise Homeschool Group meet? A: Promise Homeschool Group meets on Tuesdays from 9 am to 1:30 pm in Garrettsville Ohio. For the safety of our group, the exact location is not listed on this website. You are welcome to email us at promisecoop@gmail.com for more specific details.
Q: How much is registration? A: There is a $10 non-refundable application fee. Once your application is approved, your $10 application fee will be applied to your first semester's registration fee. Registration is $75 per family, per semester. We offer two semesters per school year, Fall & Spring. Additional class material fees may apply but are not typical.
Q: What does a typical co-op day look like? A: Promise Homeschool Group meets for two semesters per school year; Fall & Spring. Semesters are 12 weeks each. Co-op days are Tuesdays from 9 am to 1:30 pm. The day goes as follows: 9:15 Announcements 9:25-10:10 Class Period 1 10:15-11:00 Class Period 2 11:05- 12:10 Lunch & Recess 12:15- 1:00 Class Period 3 1:00 - 1:30 Clean up
Q: Can I drop my child(ren) off at co-op? A: No. Promise Homeschool Group does not offer drop off services for co-op members. As we are a parent led co-op, parents are expected to participate and volunteer as well.
Q: When will classes be posted? A: Spring 2023 classes are posted under the Class Registration tab on this site. Registration begins February 21. Priority goes to returning members.
Q: What is a parent-led co-op? A: A parent-led co-op means that all parents or guardians, of children registered in classes, are volunteers who serve in a teaching or assisting position within the co-op.
Q: What is an enrichment co-op? A: While Promise may offer classes that are of an academic nature, as an enrichment co-op we are do not replace your family's lessons at home. And due to the limited amount of time we meet, we cannot guarantee academic credits.
