Meet our Basketball Team
CHSA Vice-President of Basketball, Amy Curtis
Amy Curtis serves as CHSA's Vice President of Basketball Operations. She and her husband, Eugene, have been married since 1997 and have two daughters. Together they have led their family, their business and several ministries with a shared passion for helping others live according to God's Word.
Amy has coached basketball for more than a decade. Many of the young women she has coached have gone on to compete in college, both in basketball and other sports. For Amy, the game has always been about more than wins and losses. It is a chance to disciple young people who will one day lead families, businesses, ministries and teams of their own.
Amy believes that true leadership is discipleship. She is grateful to lead CHSA’s dedicated basketball volunteers—from board members and coaches to team parents and those serving faithfully behind the scenes. Every role, whether highly visible or rarely seen, is essential to the success of each season, and she deeply values the many individuals who use their gifts to serve CHSA families and invest in the next generation.

CHSA Director of Boys Basketball, Tommy King
I’m blessed to be married to my amazing wife, Kelli, and together we have 6 kids, 4 who are currently playing with CHSA! I’m a Houston native and have been living in Pearland for nearly 20 years. Since being saved I’ve regularly been called into children’s and youth ministry. We attend Redemption Church in Pearland where I’ve served for many years as a deacon and then elder.
I’ve always had a passion for sports and competition and grew up playing soccer, baseball, and golf. Our family started homeschool sports with CHSA 4 years ago when my daughter was ready for competitive basketball. They also had a need for more 10U boys AND a coach so my wife and I jumped in. We’ve been coaching together since then and thoroughly enjoy it! In 2025-2026 our 12U boys team brought home a Division 2 National Championship!
As head of the boys program I hope to foster a Christian community that cares for our athletes and families while also striving for excellence on the court. Team sports is a great opportunity for young athletes to learn valuable life lessons and we will continue to emphasize those as a part of CHSA. CHSA has been a tremendous blessing to my family and I hope to share that and the love of Jesus with whoever comes our way!

CHSA Director of Girls Basketball, Tim Gregory
CHSA Athletic Director of Basketball, Jejuan Plair
Jejuan Plair is a former collegiate and professional player with over a decade of experience. He brings expert guidance grounded in years of playing at the highest levels. Coach Plair also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in child development, giving him a unique understanding of how young athletes learn and grow. His expertise allows him to introduce skills and basketball concepts at the 10U level that builds a strong foundation and continue developing with players through high school.
