Anyone interested in homeschooling during the upcoming school year is welcome to attend a FREE information sharing event hosted by FAITH Homeschool Group on Thursday, July 26th. This event will give local parents the encouragement and inspiration to homeschool in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
The evening, held at First Church of the Nazarene in Fort Smith from 5:30PM–8:00PM, will begin with New Homeschool Orientation at 5:30. Informational Workshops will follow at 6:15, where participants may choose to attend one of the following:
- Homeschooling Struggling Learners
- Choosing Curriculum
- One-Room Schoolhouse Comes Home: Teaching Multiple Grades
- Be STILL: Encouragement for Burned Out, Overwhelmed, or Disillusioned Moms.
The General Session, from 7:00-7:45, will address topics such as Academic Opportunities, Social Experiences, Parental Support, Co-op, and more. In addition, parents will find informational flyers regarding homeschooling issues as well as the various opportunities open to FAITH members – such as Crusaders Volleyball, Co-op, Yearbook Staff, Student Council, Little FAITH Play Group, and more. Everyone who attends will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Christianbook.com, which boasts an impressive supply of nearly any homeschool curriculum available. For more information or to spread the word, see our flyer to print or post on social media and spread the word.
Homeschooling isn’t for the weak. Struggles, such as choosing curriculum, scheduling, and motivating reluctant learners can make this experience challenging. The veterans of FAITH invite anyone interested in home educating to join us for The Homeschool Experience and get the motivation and support you need!
