Melissa Hersey To All Instructors

One of my parents was a middle and high school biology teacher whose classroom walls were emblazoned with the slogan “Never say Ick, Ugh, or Gross… say Ooo, Aah, or Awesome!” and that approach to learning carried me through an undergraduate degree in nutritional science, followed by medical school and a stint as a PhD student studying neuroscience and infant brain development at the U of MN. I currently work as a pediatrician while homeschooling three of my four kids. We’ve been grateful members of the STAR community for 5 years.
