Ashley Griffin To All Instructors

Instructor bio: I was always that kid drawing and sketching. In high school, I discovered my passion for photography which set me on a path towards a degree in Fine Arts. Upon graduating I quickly understood the term “starving artist” and looked for ways to make money while selling my art. I was fortunate to find a job teaching afterschool art classes and discovered I loved teaching. After earning my MEd and teaching licensure, I had a wonderful career teaching preschool – high school aged students at a variety of local art centers. Most of my teaching career was at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts (MIA) and Eden Prairie Art Center. My teaching skills have taken a different diversion in recent years as I homeschool my daughter. I’m looking forward to a fun semester creating art with the creative kids at STAR!
