Ms. Marla Westfield To All Instructors

Marla Westfield has taught science and technology classes at STAR Academy since 2012. An electrical engineer by training, she is enthusiastic about students discovering science and math are used everywhere! Classic STEM topics of algebra are used in electricity and magnetism, geometry is essential to art and star gazing, physics is seen in action everyday when you open a door, play an instrument or ride a bike/unicycle. Creative minds will discover new ways to look at problems, see solutions and improve our world with science and math.

Marla lives in Victoria with her husband, Brian, also an electrical engineer. She enjoys reading, gardening, hiking and quilt making. They have two artfully creative daughters, Katy and Erika, son-in-law Mike, and charming granddaughter, Aurelia.
