Mr. Rod Clark To All Instructors

Rod Clark is recently retired from Honeywell Aerospace, where he managed a team of engineers which developed specialized integrated circuits (‘computer chips’) for space environments.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1976 from Iowa State University.  He started at Honeywell in 1976 developing burner safety controls and received multiple patents for microprocessor-driven safety controls.  Rod moved to Honeywell Aerospace in 1981 to develop custom ICs (Integrated Circuits).  He designed a variety of digital CMOS logic blocks and integrated circuits, designed SRAM (Static Random-Access Memory,) and designed ROM (Read-Only Memory) blocks that were incorporated into other ICs.  He also provided support for customers developing specialized digital ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits).  In 1995, Rod moved into management.  Starting in 2003, he provided Program Management leadership for the development of advanced radiation-hardened SOI (Silicon on Insulator) process and ASIC platforms.  Then in 2008, he became manager of a team of customer support and physical design engineers developing specialized advanced SOI digital ASICs.
