Dig In!: Planting the Seeds for a Successful Educational Journey
$15 Family Donation Required
Your child will learn about fruits and vegetables as part of an exciting, fun, inquiry-based, cross-curricular, ten (10) lessons unit called Dig In!
We will grow some foods in our "homeschool community garden” and taste them. Together, we will engage in activities to learn more about how certain foods are grown and why they are good for us. Your child will also use math, science, and language skills during these activities. We’ll need your help for these lessons to take root.
Please take a moment to look through the guide below (file 1), Dig In! This guide offers some ideas for talking with your child about what will be happening for the next 10 weeks. It also has some simple and tasty ways families can eat more fruits and vegetables.
Items needed: garden journal (notebook) pencil, and clipboard (optional) all these items can be founded at Dollar tree or Walmart.
