Henderson Christian Homeschoolers is a 501c3 composed of evangelical Christian homeschooling families in Henderson, NV and surrounding communities. We meet regularly with activities like park days, field trips, co-op classes, and clubs. Seasonally, HCH hosts holiday parties, community outreach events, and formal high school graduations, and more!

Dear Prospective HCH Member,

Thank you for your interest in Henderson Christian Homeschoolers (HCH)! To join HCH please read the HCH Guidelines and our Statement of Beliefs. If in good faith you agree, then you are ready to complete the form below. A HCH board member will then contact you to arrange a meet and greet, usually an invite to a homeschool event such as a park day. You will then be granted member access to the website where you may view the full calendar of events, co-op classes, field trips, etc. These precautions are taken only to ensure the safety of our families. A membership fee of $25 allows us to cover group expenses such as parties and website use.

Statement of Beliefs

We are strictly a group of Evangelical Christian Homeschooling families. Our purpose is to encourage each other in our Christian walk, as we home school our children. All members of Henderson Christian Homeschoolers are expected to agree to and follow the following beliefs as participants in our group.

Please read each of the following and check the box to indicate that you agree with each statement. 2. The Trinity

We believe that there is one God in three persons: God the Father, Jesus the Son, and The Holy Spirit. We do NOT believe that they are separate beings. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was miraculously born of a virgin, Mary. We believe that Jesus is fully and truly God, and fully and truly man. Jesus is the only mediator between God and man, and only Jesus saves from sin. 3. The Gospel

We believe that the Gospel is the “Good News” of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus from the dead. The Gospel’s foundation surrounds the finished work of Jesus on the Cross. It has nothing at all to do with man’s works. Good works do not save. Bible doctrines and religious rites do not save. Only Jesus saves. We therefore believe in telling people to turn from their sins and trust Jesus, who is in Heaven, so that Jesus can save them from their sins. That is the Good News! 4. The Authority of Jesus and the Bible

We believe that Christians are to live for Jesus and the Bible and not to live for sin. Christians are to take a stand against sin, and for Jesus and the Bible. There are no other holy books, canons, or doctrines required outside of the Bible and its teachings. 5. Prayer

We believe that prayer changes things. Prayer is to glorify God, and all prayers should be made only to God: the Father, Jesus the Son, and The Holy Spirit. (Phil 4:6) (Luke 11:9) (1 Tim 2:5) (Jam 5:13-18) (Eph 6:18) (John 16:24) (Rom 8:26) (John 14:26) (1 John 2:1) I agree.

6. Marriage and Sexuality

We believe that the term “marriage” has only one, legitimate meaning, and that is marriage sanctioned by God, which joins one man and one woman in a single, covenantal union, as delineated by Scripture. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of marriage. We believe that any other type of sexual activity, identity, or expression that lies outside of this definition of marriage, including those that are becoming more accepted in the culture and the courts, are contradictory to God’s natural design and purpose for sexual activity. (Gen. 2:24; Gen. 19:5; Lev. 18:1–30; Rom. 1: 26–29; 1 Cor. 5:1; 6:9–10; 1 Thess. 4:1–8; Heb. 13:4; Eph. 5:22–23; Mark 10:6–9; 1 Cor. 7:1–9 ) I agree.
