Lego Robotics - Mindstorms Series

Recommended ages: 10+ years old
This 5 week series of hour-and-a-half long classes is designed to be an introduction to robotics for students who have never programmed before - no prerequisites required. Students will work with a partner to learn the basics of programming using the newest version of LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Robot and the associated MINDSTORMS Edu program. Over the course of the five week series, students will learn how to create and execute a program using their robot and participate in challenges during class. The series is designed for students from 10 years old to 12+ years old who have no previous knowledge of robotics.

NB: McDonald’s isn’t the restaurant in the museum anymore - there is a new, more expensive burger place there now. Parking in the HMNS garage for homescoolers is now $12 rather than $6. There is free parking at Hermann Park/Zoo - about a 10 minute walk away.
