Mr. Mike Wilsbach To All Instructors

Mike Wilsbach is an Associate Pastor here at Calvary Chapel St. Pete. Mike grew up in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and was married to Sherry, the bride of his youth in 1988. They have one son, Chosen alumni Jacob who lives in Colorado.

Mike served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Firefighter including a four year tour as a Military Training Instructor (MTI) and was stationed with his family in Kansas, Okinawa Japan, New Mexico, California, Texas, South Korea and Florida. In 2011 Mike retired from the Air Force and came on staff at Calvary Chapel St. Pete.

Mike’s duties at the church include Director of Safety & Security, Facilities Manager, event planning, and President of Calvary Kids Care. He is passionate about the growth of men in Christ and the state of marriages within the church along with teaching God’s Word as it is written because of what Christ has done for him (and all of us) on the cross.

Mike is learning to be content in life wherever God may place him or put before him. One of his favorite quotes is, “Learn from yesterday, live for today, look to tomorrow, rest this afternoon.” (Charles M. Schulz, Charlie Brown’s Little Book of Wisdom). His life verse is Galatians 6:10, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

In all of his “spare time” Mike enjoys home improvement projects, off-road motorcycling and traveling with Sherry.
