Pedals, Pipes and Pizza at Trinity Church
The Grand Strand Chapter of the American Guild of Organists presents “Pedals, Pipes and Pizza” at Trinity Church, 3000 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach on Saturday, May 3rd from 10:30am-12:30pm. The two hour educational event is open to piano students and other interested students ages 8-18 and will include a hands-on demonstration, an engaging recital, pizza lunch and a chance to play the two organs of Trinity Church: the William Johnson & Son 1876 “Centenary” mechanical action, thirty rank pipe organ and the 2013 five rank Portative pipe organ made by Henk Klop. The event is free, but a $5 donation per student to cover the cost of the pizza lunch is appreciated. Each participating student must register to ensure an accurate head count.
