Historic Columbia Homeschool Fridays

These events will take place the first Friday of the month September-May (with a break in January as it falls on the New Year).  Below is the schedule, and you can learn more about each session at our Homeschool page:

  • September 4 | Slaves, Abolitionists and Entrepreneurs: The Lives of African Americans Before the Civil War 
  • October 2 | Immigration to South Carolina
  • November 6 | Beyond Thanksgiving: A Look at Native American Heritage and Culture
  • December 4 | A Very Scary Victorian Christmas
  • February 5 | The Harlem Renaissance and South Carolina
  • March 4 | South Carolinian Women in History
  • April 1 | Reconstruction and the 14th Amendment in Columbia
  • May 6 | Jewish History and Heritage in Columbia      

The student price will continue to be $5 for members, and will change to $6 for nonmembers (if you pay online), and $8 if you pay at the door.  As always, the accompanying adult is free.
