Welcome to Christian Home Educators Connection (CHEC)

About CHEC

CHEC is a Christ-centered homeschooling community serving families throughout Central Mississippi. Our purpose is to support and encourage home educators by providing valuable information, resources, and opportunities—both educational and social—for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

We are a Christian, non-profit organization committed to creating a supportive environment where families can grow together in faith, learning, and friendship. While rooted in biblical values, membership is open to all who wish to homeschool their children in a community where Christian principles guide and enhance the homeschool journey.

CHEC is structured to meet the diverse needs of homeschooling families by offering a variety of group activities, events, and support systems for all grade levels. Whether you're just beginning or are a seasoned homeschooler, CHEC provides a place to connect, contribute, and thrive.

Group Structure

CHEC is divided into groups by grade level and sometimes by geographic location, making it easy for families to find the right fit for their children. Each group offers age-appropriate activities, such as field trips, park days, parties, service projects, and more.

Elementary Groups (Grades K–6)

These groups are organized primarily by location and focus on providing opportunities for younger children to engage in fun, educational, and social events with peers.

Group Options:

  • CHEC 1 – Clinton, South Jackson, and surrounding areas

  • CHEC 3 – Rankin County & Northeast Jackson

  • CHEC 5 – Madison County

Each group hosts a variety of events, including seasonal parties, field trips, and park days.

Middle School Group (Grades 6–8)

Open to all members, regardless of location. This group focuses on providing age-appropriate activities and opportunities for fellowship and personal growth as students transition into their teen years.

CHEC 6 – Jr./Sr. High School (Grades 7–12)

CHEC 6 is open to students from all areas. To join, students must be at least 12 years old by September 1st of the school year.
