- Click here and pay through Quickbooks. Bank transfer is the preferred payment method to minimize our payment processing fees, but any are acceptable.
- If you are a teacher without children attending BHF please check the appropriate box and your payment will be canceled.

Statement of Faith

I acknowledge the following:

Brevard Homeschool Fellowship (BHF) has been established and operates by Biblical principles. We believe “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17) All BHF board members and teachers believe and have agreed with the Statement of Faith. BHF classes are taught from this perspective. All are welcome to join BHF and are not required to sign a Statement of Faith. Please note that class content aligns with the Bible and is tied back to a Biblical worldview.

Community Guidelines

At least one parent/legal guardian as well as each child aged 12 (by the first day of fall classes) and older who is participating in the co-op must read and sign this document. By signing this document you affirm that you have read it in its entirety and will abide by it. 2. 6. No drop-off activities

Do you acknowledge that BHF is not a drop-off program (with limited exceptions for approved high school students)?
BHF does not provide drop-off activities, except for high school classes where the student has completed the drop-off application process and been officially accepted into the program. Students who are not part of the approved high school drop-off program may not attend classes, field trips, social events, or other activities without being under the care of a registered adult. The drop-off option applies only to high school classes, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

7. Volunteer Requirement

Each family is required to volunteer 1 hour each week for each period you have a child attending class, for a max of 2 required hours/week.

If you are a volunteer teacher (unpaid) you have met your volunteer requirement.
There are a very limited number of volunteer-opt out slots for families who are not able to volunteer.
- The volunteer opt-out fee is $150 to opt-out of 1 hour/week of volunteering & $180 to opt-out of 2 hours/week of volunteering.
If you do not meet your volunteer requirement, you will be charged the volunteer opt-out fee. Additionally, you will not be allowed to register for the next semester until the fee has been paid in full.

8. Background Check

Within 2 business days of receiving your registration application we will send instructions for up to 2 registered adults to submit their background checks.

Your application cannot be reviewed for acceptance until the background checks come back (usually 1-2 days after they are submitted). BHF will not issue refunds due to a failure to complete or pass a background check. Do you agree to complete these background checks promptly and understand that your failure to do so may result in classes filling up before your background check results comes back?

9. Do you consent to a background check and acknowledge that all registered adults will be background checked & only registered adults who pass a background check can attend BHF events?

10. Safety

At Brevard Homeschool Fellowship the safety of our families is of utmost importance. For this reason 2 adults must be present at all times around students. This includes, but is not limited to, hallways, classrooms, outdoors, and at any BHF event.

Whispering or other acts of secrecy with a student are prohibited. If you need to have a discussion with a student ask another registered adult to accompany you. If the discussion is online, cc the child's parent on all communication.

This does not apply to you being with your own child(ren).

11. Student Grade Levels

We understand that, as homeschoolers, grade levels can be flexible. However, when registering for classes, we ask that you assign your child(ren)'s grade based on their age as of September 1st.
(For example: Kindergarteners should be age 5, 1st graders age 6, 2nd graders age 7, and so on.)

A one-year difference can have a significant impact on a child’s maturity and attention span. We want to set both our students and teachers up for success by keeping classes developmentally appropriate.

12. Application Approval

Do you acknowledge that your application must be approved in order to register with BHF & applications can be denied without providing a reason for denial?

13. I acknowledge that providing false information or failing to honor the commitments in my application may result in immediate termination of my membership, with no refunds given.

14. Registration Fee is Non-refundable

Do you acknowledge that a $150 non-refundable annual registration fee is due with your Registration Application? If you decide not to attend the Brevard Homeschool Fellowship (BHF) classes or events, you forfeit all monies paid.

If your Registration Application is denied, you will receive a partial refund of $110 to cover background checks and administrative fees. No refund will be issued if any information on your application was found to be untruthful.

15. Media Release

Photos of your family members may be used in printed materials or online. This could include, but is not limited to, social media, newspapers, our website, slideshows, etc. People appearing in photos/videos with permission may be identified as part of BHF, but no other identifying information (name, address, etc.) will be released.
