Positions
Laramie Learning Link Positions:
All those on the Board of Laramie Learning Link must agree with these positions unreservedly.
Member applicants must check if they agree with the positions or not. Members do not necessarily have to agree completely with all positions, but they must agree to be respectful of the positions, and not to teach anything contrary. (Non-agreeing members may not be the main content planning teacher for any class.)
Membership applications will be accepted on a case by case basis, the board reserves to the right to deny any application for any or no reason.
Guest speakers may be invited to teach or speak on specific topics who do not necessarily hold to all the Positions.
Laramie Learning Link is non-partisan, but may be involved in partisan political activities approved by the Board.
Positions:
1: The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and constitutes His completed and final revelation to man. The Bible in its original autograph is without error in whole and in part, including theological concepts as well as literal geographical, historical and scientific details, including the literal 6 day creation, and the flood of the entire earth.
2: There is only one God, and he has existed from all eternity in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was God come in human flesh being fully God and fully man, except without sin.
3: Man is fallen in nature and is not able to be redeemed except by faith in Jesus Christ, who paid the penalty for man's sin by his own death on the cross.
4: God created human beings male and female from the beginning, only those two genders. One of these biological genders, which are identifiable by chromosomes, is assigned by God to each individual at the moment of conception and cannot be changed. Marriage is the union of two people only, one male and one female, according to God’s plan and design.
5: We believe the ability to raise our children and direct their upbringing (including their education), is a God given responsibility, a natural and inalienable right.
6: We support the Second Amendment right in the Constitution of the common man to bear arms. This right is an essential, and integral part to the existence, and the protection, of all other rights.
7: We believe that free market capitalism is a sound, Biblically based economic system, and oppose government intervention in the realms of family, education, business, farming, health care, and food.
