WHAT IS A SUPPORT FAMILY?

Support Families help our co-op function and flourish!

Rooted Oaks is built on a spirit of community and shared responsibility! We want to create a welcoming learning environment for our students and a supportive resource for our participating families. One of the key ways we keep our co-op running smoothly and affordably is through the help of our Support Families! These are parents/guardians who volunteer on-site to help cultivate a peaceful, orderly, and engaging learning environment for all.

What is a Support Family?

A Support Family is a family with at least one parent/guardian who commits to serving on-site for the entire duration of our Monday evening co-op (5:00 pm - 9:00 pm) for a minimum of 4 evenings per semester in a volunteer role that supports co-op operations. All parents/guardians who serve in a volunteer role will be required to submit a background check.

Support Family Benefits

We offer 2 main benefits to our Support Families:

  1. A discounted Rooted Oaks Annual Family Fee of only $20 for the 2025-2026 school year. This will cover your background check(s) and contribute to website costs.
  2. Priority registration. If you did not attend our Open House & In-Person Registration event, you can still register now online! In future years, you will be able to enjoy the benefit of getting to register your students before standard registration opens.

Support Families are an essential part of the Rooted Oaks Co-op model. Your involvement blesses our teachers, supports our students, and makes this entire co-op possible.

Thank you for considering this meaningful way to participate in Rooted Oaks!
