Statement of Faith
We believe the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired word of God and to be profitable for teaching, correcting, reproof, and for training in righteousness. (II Timothy 3: 16-17)
We believe the Old and New Testaments to be infallible and to be used as a guide for life. (II Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 19:7-11)
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (John 1:1, 14; 4:24)
We believe that God is the creator of all things. (Gen. 1-2)
We believe that Jesus Christ our Lord was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and was crucified. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension, and His triumphant return to judge the world. (Matt. 1:20; Is. 7:14; Matt. 7-8; John 20:17; Acts 1:9, 11; Acts 10:42)
We believe there is only one way of salvation: to believe and have faith in Jesus Christ and to trust in His finished work on the cross to redeem and forgive us of our sin. (John 3:16; Eph. 2:8-9; 1:7-8)
We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to regenerate the sinner, indwell, instruct, guide, convict, and empower believers to bear fruit in their lives. (I Cor. 2:10-14; Gal. 4:6; John 14:26; John 16:7-14; II John 5:20)
We believe marriage is a covenant relationship between one man and one woman commited for life.
We believe this is God’s design and we are commited to upholding it. We also believe any deviation from this original design is sin.
We believe God created human beings in His own image as male and female. Therefore, God has assigned our gender at birth, and all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is immoral and therefore sin.
We believe the Gospel can reach, redeem, and restore anyone, no matter their sin. Therefore, we are to follow Jesus’s example by being full of both grace and truth as we engage our culture with the hope of the Gospel.
