Gold Conference Sponsors

The Education Alliance of Christian Homeschoolers in South Dakota (TEACHSD), the organization formerly known as SECHE, was founded in 2002 by like-minded home educators who desired a group where their belief and acknowledgement of God was an integral part of the organization.

Originally formed to support home educating families through educational and social activities, the organization is continually adapting to the needs of the members it serves.

TEACHSD is dedicated to the cultivation, protection and promotion of Christian homeschooling and the homeschool community in the state of South Dakota.

These goals are pursued by:

  • legislative and policy work of the Families for Alternative Instruction Rights in South Dakota (http://www.fairsd.org) committee to advance, protect and secure homeschooling rights
  • planning and execution efforts of the Christian Homeschool Conference of South Dakota (http://www.chcsd.org) committee who provide the annual state conference to inspire and encourage homeschooling families
  • coordinating communication between independent local homeschool support and activity groups and homeschool families
  • working to educate the community and public of the importance of parent-directed education and the freedoms required to allow it to flourish

TEACHSD is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation with Board, Committee and membership representation from across the state and its members receive discounted HSLDA memberships.

TEACHSD is a 501(c)3 non-profit organized and dedicated to cultivating, protecting and promoting the homeschooling community in South Dakota.

AnchorPrinciple 4

Marriage is a God ordained institution consisting of the union of one man and one woman.

AnchorPrinciple 5

The right of parents to direct the upbringing, education and care of their children (whether by blood, adoption or legal guardianship) is a fundamental right and a responsibility ordained by God.
