Hello from Branches CHANDLER!

We currently have a waitlist and are NOT accepting new families. If you would like to add your name to our waitlist for the 2023/2024 school year you are welcome to do that, but please understand that at this time all membership requests will be put on a waitlist. The average time spent on our waitlist is about one year. When we are able to consider adding new members you will receive a phone call from someone on our leadership team. In the meantime feel free to check out our website and our current class schedule - so you can be thinking about fun ideas for classes you'd like to teach! If you have an idea, please include that on your membership request. It takes lots of hard work to make this co-op community work, and we look forward to hearing how you would like to contribute!

There is a $50 membership registration fee per "school year" to join Branches. DO NOT MAKE THIS PAYMENT NOW, you will make this payment after you have been approved for membership. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a discount half-way through the year.

1. ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS

Everyone has talents! Sometimes we don't feel like we do, however God has gifted each of us with unique things that we're good at. It's especially intimidating to put yourself out there, in front of a group, but we are in this together! If you have an area, background, or speciality that you think could help Branches community in some way, please include it in the box below. It doesn't mean you are committing to teaching on that subject! Over time, we hope to add a variety of classes so that our children can be exposed to many different areas.

Examples include speech, writing, STEM, foreign language, music, art, singing, math, poetry, student council, history, card game fun, chess, knitting, sewing, photography, leadership, science, crafts, geography, sea life, journalism, electricity, making comic books, coding, aerobics, strategy games, self-defense, book clubs, nutrition, programming, fitness, robotics, helping with our MINI's classes and SO much more! 2. I understand that Branches is an all volunteer non-profit organization. I will do my best to contribute my talents in a way that will help Branches be the best it can be. I understand that in order to have my children participate in class day, I am required to sign up for adult credits based on the number of class periods my child(ren) attend - all members are required to attend a minimum of three class periods (full-time enrollment is preferred, and no new families will be added on a part-time schedule). Please see the FAQ's for more information about earning class credits.

3. I understand that pictures may be taken of myself or my children for the purpose of a yearbook, website, or closed Facebook page. If I do not want myself or my children in these pictures, it is my responsibility to inform those taking the pictures and to remove myself and/or my children from group photos.

4. I understand that it is my responsibility to supervise and know where my children are at all times. I also understand that class day is not a drop off program. I will stay on campus, sign up for "jobs," and do my best to contribute my talents.

5. I understand that some families have children with severe nut allergies. I will not bring items with nuts on the church campus. If I eat food with nuts, I will keep these items in my car and thoroughly clean up my children after eating.

6. I understand that anyone (myself included), 18 years or older who will be on campus during class day to care for, teach my children, or help, will need to have gone through a background check with the company Branches has selected.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to build a Christ-centered co-op community, with a grace-filled culture, that equips, supports, and encourages homeschooling families and proclaims Christ’s leadership over all aspects of our lives. We desire to bring together homeschooling families who love God and want to share the knowledge of Jesus Christ with the next generation, by providing academic and enrichment classes, sports activities, and clubs from a Christian worldview, as well as opportunities for mentoring and friendships. Our teachers love God and communicate Biblical teaching and Christian values to our students.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind. For purposes of doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our governing board is Branches’ final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person to reflect His image as either male or female; but that each person is by nature a sinner, and alienated from God.

We believe that salvation and reconciliation come only from God, by grace; that God in love gave His only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sin, thereby purchasing the redemption of those who believe in Him.

We believe that marriage is prescribed by God as a sacred, covenant relationship between one man and one woman, symbolizing the union of Christ and His church, and all forms of sexual activity outside of marriage is sin.

We believe that every Christian, through the power of Jesus Christ, is called to live a life set apart that will bear fruit to the glory of God, and sinful behavior, or even advocacy of sinful behavior, dishonors God and should not be encouraged.

We believe that God loves every person and therefore we need to treat others with the compassion, love, kindness, and dignity that He shows us.

STATEMENT OF EDUCATION

We believe that it is the parents’ role and responsibility to educate their children individually on topics of a sensitive nature, including:

Out of respect for each family’s decision on when and how to teach these matters to their children, all teachers, volunteers, parents, and students are discouraged from discussing these topics with other children at Branches unless in a clearly defined class.

10. AFFIRMATION AGREEMENT

I hereby affirm that I have read the Branches Statements of Mission, Faith, and Education, the Guidelines and Standards, and the Code of Culture and have discussed these items with my children. I certify that I consent to and will submit to all policies and standards of this group, and I acknowledge that violation of these terms will carry consequences that could include dismissal from Branches.

I understand that admission to Branches is a privilege, not a right, and admission for one year does not guarantee automatic admission for future years.
