Old Sturbridge Village- Homeschool Day
Join us for a celebration of fall during our October 7th Home School Day! For programming this month, we will draw inspiration from the harvest. Process apples into cider, cook and carve pumpkins, and explore fall activities on the farm. We will also feature a few programs focused on the Village’s new exhibit, New England on Parade.
Home School Days offer you and your family the opportunity to explore the Village and participate in activities. From games to woodworking, to nature exploration, this is a great opportunity for kids to gain exposure to many aspects of 1830s New England life in an interactive way.
The health and safety of our visitors is our top priority, so this Home School Day will look a little different from past events. During this October Home School Day, some activities will take place outside. Others will take place in various buildings around the Museum’s campus. Participants will have their own supplies, which will be cleaned and sanitized between groups. Register for one of the in-person programs with the Village’s knowledgeable staff or explore the Village on your own using self-guides, scavenger hunts, and more.
