About Us

Our mission is to enable Christian homeschoolers throughout the shoreline area of south-central Connecticut to connect, encourage, serve, support, and inspire one another, as we commit to walk hand in hand and arm in arm together on the journey of homeschooling. 

  • We want you to be engaged, equipped and encouraged, whether you are a newcomer to homeschooling or a seasoned veteran! 
     
  • We hope you will feel at home among like-minded parents who are instilling academic as well as spiritual virtues in our children. 
     
  • We share ideas and information, support and pray for one another, and commit to mutually provide fellowship opportunities for all ages and assorted educational, elective, and enrichment activities.  
     
  • We usually offer a Welcome Family Picnic, group play days, pre-teen/teens activities, field trips, periodic member-initiated clubs or classes, adult support group gatherings, ladies/men's/couples fellowships, familiy-oriented special events, and a year-end Field Day.
     
  • Along the way, we share memories and make friendships for a lifetime!
     

The word "alliance" is in our name for good reason! 

  • Merriam-Webster defines an alliance as: 1) an association to further the common interests of the members; and 2) a bond or connection between families or individuals.
     
  • These synonyms of "cooperative" capture our emphasis: collaborative, collective, combined, joint, pooled, shared, and united.


Our vision is not simply to be a support group which offers an "a la carte takeout menu," but rather it is to become a dynamic, cooperative alliance and mutually-supportive community of homeschooling families, in which every member has a willing heart to contribute to a "homestyle potluck feast!"

As a distinctly Christian group, the Statement of Faith is fundamental to this organization and all its activities. 

It is our earnest desire that all of our group's practices, fellowship gatherings, activities, events, and communications be in keeping with whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8) in order that whatever (we) do, whether in word or deed, (we) do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him (Colossians 3:17).
