My children and I have loved being a part of Deseret Homeschoolers over the past few years. We've made good friends, learned new things, and had a lot of fun. I love how inclusive the co-op is, and that they give everyone a chance to particpate and grow. Deseret Homeschoolers allows for great discounts for fun events and activities. We really enjoy the science labs at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. For us, it's worth the long drive from our home in the Katy area to be part of the fun and educational classes they offer. Deseret is such an organized and fun group to belong to. It gives just enough structure and class time, while still allowing kids to be kids! There are many opportunities to learn new skills, explore talents, and be introduced to new things. Everyone is friendly and makes you feel so welcome. I love being a part of Deseret Homeschoolers because it allows me to supplement my child's education with outside learning and social interactions, while at the same time remaining fully in control of the curriculum and strategies we use at home. The ability to lean on the strengths of other moms in areas like art and music has been a game changer. My children have benefited from the co-op, HMNS classes, and field trips. My kids have been going to Co-op for 2 years and LOVE it. We do live far from co-op, but my kids love it so much it is worth the drive. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. My kids get to learn so many fun new skills, and they enjoy every minute of it. There are different class options for kids to choose from, which is nice.
