Additional Information

We'll be weekend camping at Huntsville State Park in Huntsville, Texas (about an hour north of Houston).

You can visit the park website HERE.

We have 5 tent campsites reserved for 2 nights on June 11-13, 2021. All the campsites are for up to 8 people and have tent pads, picnic tables, campfire pits, water and electricity hookups. The park has bathrooms with hot water showers within walking distance of campsites. With our park pass you will not need to pay any daily fees.

Sign up is for both nights. Each campsite is $44 for both nights. You won't have to pay any other fees at the park (unless you rent water craft or buy things at the store). You can check in after 2pm on Friday and check out by 12pm on Sunday. Since we have both nights reserved, you could play all day at the park through Saturday evening and drive home that night if you'd like to be home Saturday night. Individual families will camp in their own sites and provide their own meals. Our campsites are all near each other in Prairie Branch Camping Area. You can see a map of the park at the link below.

Payment is required at sign up. Sign up and payment deadline is June 3. Please sign up for the campsite you prefer. You will need to be logged in to the website to see the campsite signups.

Description of the park:

“Lose yourself among the majestic trees and natural beauty of the East Texas Pineywoods. Rent a canoe, explore our trails or just relax by the lake. We are a short drive north of Houston, in the Sam Houston National Forest.

At Huntsville State Park, you can camp, hike, bike, picnic, fish, swim, paddle, geocache, and study nature. We have 21 miles of trails, playgrounds, a bird blind and nature center. "
