Teacher Expectations and Responsibilities
TOG Teacher Expectations and Responsibilities
Each lead teacher (s) will provide the following items:
• Class Description: A brief description of what your class will be studying/learning and the
curriculum/resources you plan to use.
• Lesson Plan Outline: A basic outline of the lessons you will be teaching. More detailed lessons
will need to be provided for a substitute if you are unable to teach a class at some point
throughout the year. Email to toghomeschool@gmail.com.
• Class letter: Compose a short letter to your class families to introduce yourself and provide
any additional information/details about your class beyond the description. This gives an
opportunity for moms to share any pertinent information about their students back with you and
provides our families with some insight into what their child will be doing for the year. These
can be posted directly to your class forum on the TOG web site.
• Class updates: Post updates, recaps and/or assignments from your class directly to your class
forum through the Instructor Dashboard. This is a great way to let our families know what the students
are learning and doing in their classes each week. These do not need to be lengthy and can include
fun stories of your time with the students. If help is needed posting on the forum please contact Shandra Davis.
Supplies
General supplies are available for all classes to utilize. For supplies unique to your class, prior
approval needs to be obtained from the treasurer before purchases should be made. Please email the
treasurer and purchaser (avoid asking on co-op mornings!), to seek approval for purchases. If the
purchase is not pre-approved it may not be reimbursed. To receive re-reimbursement for approved
purchases, receipts AND a completed reimbursement form need to be turned in to the treasurer via a
folder in the file box locatead by the Mom's snack table.
Copies
If you need copies made for your class, please give Jenn Clough a hard copy of the item via the
designated folder in the file box, or e-mail a file to her in advance! Copies cannot be made the day before or the morning of co-op.
