“I also want women to dress modestly. With decency…with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.” 1 Timothy 2:9-10
As a Christian co-op, one of the goals we are trying to encourage in all of us is Biblical modesty. Certain parts of our bodies were meant to be seen only by our spouses (Romans 5:18-19), and we need to take precautions to ensure that we do not create temptation for or offend anyone else in the way we dress. Therefore, parents and students are required to follow the same guidelines:
- ARK T-shirts are considered our uniform and are to be worn on all A.R.K. Co-op days and to all A.R.K events (field trips, community service days, parties, etc) unless otherwise instructed.
- Tennis Shoes are necessary for P.E. for Preschool and above.
- Shorts or pants are preferred (also because of P.E.) and must be free of tears or holes above the fingertip length. Shorts must be at least fingertip length. And both should have no words or pictures on the backside.
- No bikinis at swimming events. Stomachs must be covered.
By reading this you have read and understood the expectations outlined above, and your family agrees to abide by these modesty standards
