A.R.K. Co-op Discipline Procedures
“Obedience is doing what you’re told to do, when you’re told to do it, with the right heart attitude.”
We have 6 basic rules for behavior during A.R.K. Co-op, which are:
EYES on the teacher
EARS on the teacher
MOUTH closed
HANDS to yourself/raise your hand tp speak
BOTTOM in your seat
FEET that walk between classes
Added to these basic rules (designed for little guys) are some specific rules that address the general topic of respect for the teachers and other students:
Always strive for wholesome speech- “No foul language is to come from your mouth, but only what is good for building up someone in need, so that it gives grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:29
This verse should govern our interactions with others, teachers, and students. Respect should be shown to teachers in action and words. Respect should also be shown to other students. Gossiping and its harsher sister, bullying, have no place in a Christian circle. A.R.K. should be a safe space for our students.
Discipline issues will be handled as they arise in the classroom by verbal correction, moving students around, etc. If this is not effective, you as the parent will be asked to address your child.
