Code of Conduct
Updated for the 2025–2026 School Year
At CLC, we are committed to fostering a community where everyone—learners, caregivers, and leaders—feels safe, respected, and supported. This code of conduct outlines the expectations for all families to ensure our space remains inclusive, structured, and conducive to positive cooperative experiences.
1. Respect for All
CLC is an inclusive, affirming space that celebrates diversity. All members and instructors are expected to communicate and behave courteously and respectfully. Report any incidents to a board member immediately.
-Violence, or threats thereof, will not be tolerated.
-Any kind of intimidation, bullying (including online bullying), or harassment is prohibited.
-Disruptive, aggressive, or harmful behavior shall be addressed immediately.
2. Respect for Our Learning Environment
A safe learning environment supports the personal growth and development of our students. All members of CLC are responsible for maintaining the safety of our learning environment. Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to the Operations Director immediately.
-Stay in designated areas of our host facility.
-Treat the property with the utmost respect.
-Use equipment safely for its intended purpose.
-Leave our facility in equal, if not better, condition than you found it.
3. Active Caregiver Responsibility
Caregivers are responsible for the behavior and well-being of their children at all times. This means being present, proactive, and engaged in supporting their learner's success. Caregivers must be on-site during classes and events, taking responsibility for their child’s actions and stepping in when needed to address behavioral issues in a timely and respectful manner.
4. Family Atmosphere
Clothing choices should be suitable for CLC’s family environment, where young children are present. Avoid profanity as well as sexual, violent, or graphic imagery.
Language should be acceptable for all ages. Older students should use discretion when discussing mature topics.
5. Prohibited Items
To maintain the safety of CLC, the following items are prohibited:
-Weapons of any kind, including imitation or toy weapons (exceptions will be made for items utilized in academic context)
-Adult-use substances, including, but not limited to: tobacco, alcohol, vaping products, marijuana, and other recreational drugs
6. Conflict Resolution
While disagreements may arise, we expect all members to approach conflicts with maturity and a willingness to listen and grow. Our leadership is committed to ensuring that CLC remains a safe and inclusive space for all families. Families are expected to communicate openly and address concerns promptly. Conflicts that cannot be resolved between individuals should be brought to the attention of leadership for guidance in resolving the issue fairly and respectfully.
CLC leadership reserves the right to terminate membership in cases of repeated or serious violations.
7. Firm Boundaries, Firm Support
CLC provides a supportive environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, but that does not mean tolerating behavior that harms others or disrupts the community. Boundaries are set not to exclude, but to ensure that all members feel safe and valued. We are committed to holding all members accountable to these expectations while providing support and guidance along the way.
