CGCHE is a 100% parent-led organization, relying on its members to plan and organize everything we do. Each family is expectated to fill a position or plan at least one party or field trip.
Our group has six board positions (head coordinator, secretary, treasurer, communications, activities coordinator, and education coordinator).
In addition to these roles we have other positions that need to be filled: Year Book coordinator, Teen Hangout coordinator, Toddler Playdate coordinator, Chess Club coordinator, Girl's Club coordinator, Park Day coordinator, and Service Project coordinator.
We put on large parties for most major holidays, so we need volunteers to lead these parties too: Fall Picnic, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, and Field Day.
If these positions are taken, you can serve by creating field trips, play dates, or activities throughout the year.
CGCHE Code of Conduct
Adult and student members agree to live a lifestyle that reflects Biblical standards (Galations 5:13-26), including:
- Love- I will strive to show God’s love to those around me, regardless of how I feel about them.
- Joy- I will strive to have a positive attitude, even if things are not as I wanted.
- Peace- I will strive to live in harmony with others around me. This includes avoiding gossip, bullying, corrupt speech (cursing or negative talk), and pride against others.
- Patience- I will strive to show patience to those around me and in all circumstances. I understand that there may be delays in the schedule and sometimes others may not know what I know, but I can still show patience.
- Kindness- I will strive to show kindness to all around me, regardless of the attitudes of others.
- Goodness- I will strive to choose to do what is good and right in the eyes of the Lord, as well as doing right and good to all around me. I will be honest in my speech and behavior and will avoid lying, deceit, and manipulation.
- Faithfulness- I will strive to do all that I have committed to do. I will honor my word so I can be known as trustworthy.
- Gentleness- I will strive to have gentleness in my speech, mannerisms, and conduct with others. This will include avoiding harsh speech, actions, and bullying.
- Self-Control- I will strive to practice self control of my body and words, refraining from temptations that go against God’s Word or His ways. I will not use curse or swear words, offensive slang words, or take the Lord’s name in vain (which means to use God’s name when you’re not really talking to or about God).
