Our Story
Where It Began
Becoming Homeschool Collective began with a bigger vision; a desire to create a homeschool resource center where families could find support, connection, and meaningful learning opportunities all in one place. But like many things, it didn’t start all at once. It started with a small group at our church.
Gather & Grow Collective
In that season, Gather & Grow Collective was born. What began as a simple church small group became a space where families came together for hands-on, project-based learning and shared community. Children explored, created, and learned through meaningful experiences, while parents connected and supported one another along the way.
What we quickly realized was that this was growing beyond our church small group. There was a genuine sense of connection forming, families showing up for one another, children building friendships, and a shared desire for something deeper. It became clear that God was working faster than we had originally planned.
What started small began to take shape into something more structured. Something that could serve more families while still holding onto the heart of what made it special. Gather & Grow Collective became the foundation for what is now Becoming Homeschool Collective.
Why “Becoming”
The name Becoming reflects what we believe this journey is truly about. Not just what our children are learning, but who they are becoming. It’s about growth over time, shaped by experiences, relationships, and the work God is doing in each of our lives. We are all becoming, individually and together.
While the name and structure have grown, the heart has remained the same. We are still committed to hands-on learning, meaningful relationships, and creating a space where families feel supported. And above all, we trust that God is continuing to build and guide this community just as He has from the very beginning.
Looking Ahead
Today, Becoming Homeschool Collective is one step closer to that original vision; growing into a place where families can find support, connection, and opportunities to learn and thrive together.
As we look ahead, we hope to continue expanding in ways that allow us to serve more families while staying rooted in the values that brought us here. We are moving toward a model that can grow into a lasting resource for the homeschool community.
