Q: |
Is this a drop-off program? |

Registration & Waitlist
Q: |
How do I get started? |
A: |
Begin by submitting your family pre-registration. Once approved, you’ll receive access to enroll in classes. |
Q: |
Why do I need to pre-register my family? |
A: |
Pre-registration allows us to account for every individual in the building, including parents and siblings, so we can stay within our capacity and maintain a safe, comfortable environment. |
Q: |
Does pre-registration guarantee a spot? |
A: |
No. Submitting a pre-registration form does not guarantee placement in the program. Families will be approved based on available space. |
Q: |
How are families approved? |
A: |
Once we review total building capacity, approved families will receive access to class registration. |
Q: |
What if the program is full? |
A: |
If we reach capacity, families will be placed on a waitlist and notified if space becomes available. |
Q: |
Is there a waitlist for classes too? |
A: |
Yes. Each class has a limited number of spots. If a class fills, students may join a waitlist for that specific class. |
Q: |
How will I know if a spot opens up? |
A: |
If space becomes available in the program or in a class, we will contact families in the order of the waitlist. |
Q: |
What should I do while on the waitlist? |
A: |
We encourage you to remain on the list, as spots can open up. You may also receive updates about future semesters and opportunities. |
Classes & Learning
Q: |
What ages can participate in classes? |
A: |
Children ages 3-17 may reister for classes. |
Q: |
How many classes can my student take? |
A: |
Students must enroll in both class periods for each 5-week session during the semester. An optional homeschool club extention is available and runs the entire 10-week semester. |
Q: |
Are classes divided by age? |
A: |
Many of our classes are mixed-age to encourage connection, mentorship, and flexibility in learning. |
Q: |
How many students are in each class? |
A: |
We intentionally keep our class sizes small, with a maximum of 10 students per class. Smaller class sizes allow for more meaningful interaction, hands-on learning, and stronger relationships between students and teachers. It also helps create a calm, supportive environment where each child is seen, known, and able to fully engage. |
Q: |
What are the teachers’ qualifications? |
A: |
Our teachers are passionate and knowledgeable in the subjects they teach and bring a heart for working with students. While they may not all hold formal teaching degrees, they are selected for their experience, gifting, and alignment with our mission. |
Q: |
Are background checks required? |
A: |
Yes. All teachers and classroom aides are required to complete background checks. |
Logistics & Daily Details
Q: |
Is food allowed? |
A: |
Yes. Students and families may bring snacks and lunch. We ask that families be mindful of common allergies (such as tree nuts) when packing food. Students are encouraged to go to the family lounge to eat food with their parent present. |
Q: |
What does a typical day look like? |
A: |
Our program runs from 9:30 AM–12:30 PM, with two 40-minute enrichment classes, a 10-minute transition, and a 30-minute midday break. Each first-period class begins with a brief, Christ-centered devotional and the Lord’s Prayer. Families may also register for an optional, hour-long club from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM. Parents and their younger children are welcome to relax and connect with other families in our Family Lounge while their children participate. |
Parents & Family Expectations
Q: |
What do parents and younger siblings do during classes? |
A: |
Parents and younger siblings gather in the designated family area while students are in class. |
Q: |
What happens if we cannot attend regularly? |
A: |
Because our program is built around community, relationships, and consistent participation, we ask families to make every effort to attend each week. Two consecutive unexcused absences may result in removal from the program so that a spot can be offered to a family on our waitlist. If your family anticipates an extended absence or has circumstances that affect attendance, please communicate with us as soon as possible. |
Q: |
Can I sit in on a class with my child? |
A: |
Yes, parents may sit in on a class as a short-term transition for students who are new to being in a class setting independently. We simply ask that this be communicated and approved ahead of time to ensure we can maintain a comfortable and safe classroom environment. |
Q: |
Can younger siblings attend? |
A: |
Siblings not enrolled in the program and under the age of 3 must remain in the family lounge under the supervision of their parent or guardian. |

Q: |
Is Becoming Homeschool Collective a nonprofit, and what does that mean? |

Q: |
How are funds used? |
A: |
All funds received by Becoming Homeschool Collective support our mission and the families we serve. Contributions help cover program supplies, enrichment materials, facility expenses, educational resources, volunteer support, and the administrative costs necessary to operate our organization. As we grow, funding will also help us expand programming, develop new community partnerships, and work toward a dedicated space for homeschool enrichment. Every contribution helps us create meaningful, Christ-centered learning opportunities and a stronger community for homeschooling families. |
