Ever wonder why your smart child struggles? Or why one child excels at reading while the other thrives on math? October’s presentation on cognitive skills will teach parents how to understand their child’s unique learning profile and educate them on effective methods that develop cognitive skills – the building blocks of fluid learning. Brain training is a proven method of building cognitive skill in children and adults. Attendees will learn about the key components of effective brain training and learn several at-home activities they can play with their families. Each attendee will receive a copy of Unlock the Einstein Inside by Dr. Ken Gibson and a toolkit of activities that develop cognitive skills.

Casey Bauer, MS, is the director of a LearningRx brain training center in Chantilly, VA. She has worked with over four hundred families in the Virginia area providing one-on-one cognitive development training and education. Casey has provided guest lectures on cognitive training for the Virginia Rehabilitative Nursing Council, Health South Department of Rehabilitation, University of Virginia Rehabilitation Department, University of Virginia Couric Cancer Center, and numerous Virginia education support groups. She is an active member of WISER and the ADHD Resource Group of Northern Virginia and is a product of and advocate for home education.

Please sign up for this workshop so we know how many people to expect.

Children are welcome but childcare is not provided. Please bring a quiet activity to keep them occupied.
