CAT is one of the most widely used student assessments of academic skills. The CAT provides educators, students, and their parents with a measure of achievement and national comparison in reading, language, spelling, and mathematics.
You don't have to be participating in Tapestry to participate in our testing.
WHO NEEDS TO BE TESTED?
According to PA homeschool law, testing is only required in grades 3, 5, & 8. But some parents like to test more often, some will test every year, to get a better feel for where their students are at & what areas they can target in the year ahead. All students grades 3-12 are welcome to join us for testing.
WHAT DO THE TESTS COVER?
- Reading Comprehension
- Language Mechanics
- Language Expression
- Math Computation
- Math Concepts & Applications
MY STUDENT IS NERVOUS ABOUT TEST-TAKING. HELP!
Over the years, it has been our privilege to test many local homeschooled kids, including our own. We know the anxiety that can sometimes accompany testing & do our best to create an atmosphere that is relaxed and enjoyable. It has been a rewarding thing to see the Lord resolve anxieties and fears and replace them with peace and a sense of calm as we move through the testing process.
